In a stunning revelation, Senator John Kennedy recently broke down findings from Elon Musk regarding the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and its global spending. The findings have ignited a firestorm of controversy, raising serious questions about how American taxpayer dollars are being allocated.
Musk, through his investigative efforts, has uncovered a series of eyebrow-raising expenditures by USAID, which has a budget of $40 billion and employs over 10,000 people. According to Kennedy, the spending includes:
- Funding foreign nations: U.S. taxpayers are unknowingly sending money to Afghanistan, Yemen, and Syria, among other places.
- Electric vehicles in Vietnam: American tax dollars are reportedly supporting Vietnam’s EV industry.
- Transgender clinics and LGBTQ initiatives: Funding has gone to a transgender clinic in India, LGBTQ advocacy in Jamaica, Macedonia, and Serbia, and even journalism programs in Sri Lanka focused on avoiding binary gendered language.
- Millions for radical organizations: A staggering $164 million allegedly went to radical organizations worldwide, with $122 million going to groups linked to foreign terrorist organizations.
- Sex changes in Guatemala: USAID reportedly allocated $2 million for gender transition procedures in Guatemala.
- Sesame Street in Iraq: $20 million of taxpayer money funded a new version of the children’s show for Iraqi audiences.
- Combatting ‘misinformation’ in Kazakhstan: $4.5 million was spent to fight what USAID deemed misinformation.
- Funding terrorist-linked groups: Kennedy claims that USAID provided $10 million in meals to an al-Qaeda-linked group, the Nusra Front, and millions to Hamas-controlled organizations in Gaza.
Kennedy’s statement concluded with a sharp rebuke of USAID’s funding priorities, stating, “I could go all night and many of my colleagues are upset. They’re really mad at Mr. Musk. Hell, I think we ought to give him a medal.”
What’s Next?
With these revelations now in the public eye, the question remains: Will the U.S. government take action to reassess USAID’s funding? Are lawmakers willing to hold the agency accountable?
One thing is clear—this report has Americans questioning where their tax dollars are really going. Shouldn’t that money be invested in American communities first?
